The old industrial zone of Ettadhamen essentially counts factories the production of which is essentially destined for exportation. The zone is well integrated in the urban center because of the non-polluting nature of these plants and their small surface.

The new industrial zone situated along the Chinese track and Road n31 is relatively new but not less promising because of its ideal strategic location being close to the main roads and within an area that is heavily populated and can thus offer manpower for the area.
Well foresee a prosperous future for this area thanks to the possibility of its extension as well as the programs aiming at the refurbishing of the existing road and its connection to the Tunis-Bizerta Highway in addition to the extension of the X20 road.
If the expansion of this area continues according to plan, it will replace the industrial area of Ksar Said which is currently linked to Douar Hicher.
The regional council of Ariana has already finished construction of an industrial area as well as the premises for a professional center in view of creating work opportunities and of helping craftsmen to acquire appropriate shops.
